Our Core Values

At Balmain Care for Kids we believe that children learn through experimenting and interacting with the environment that surrounds them.

For our long day care services (Nursery and Preschool) the educators use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and our After Care (OOSH) use the My Time Our Place Framework for their teaching curriculum.

It is important that educators provide a space for all children that is safe, happy and they are well cared for.

Children are provided with a positive, safe and caring environment that meets their individual needs.
We believe that a balance between intentional teaching and play-based activities is essential to children’s learning and fosters every aspect of the “whole child”.

We have an extensive list of policies and procedures which are centre specific and implemented in our services to ensure the health and safety of the children, educators, families, and visitors. Our policies adhere to the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

Assessment & Rating

Child Care centres within Australia undergo an Assessment and Rating process which is conducted by state and territory authorities. This process assesses how a centre meets the requirements set out in the 7 Quality Areas outlined by ACECQA.
