At Balmain Care for Kids we believe that children learn through experimenting and interacting with the environment that surrounds them.

We have an extensive list of policies and procedures which are centre specific and implemented in our services to ensure the health and safety of the children, educators, families, and visitors. Our policies adhere to the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

Child Care centres within Australia undergo an Assessment and Rating process which is conducted by state and territory authorities. This process assesses how a centre meets the requirements set out in the 7 Quality Areas outlined by ACECQA.

We are continually seeking to improve our practices, the educational program that we provide to children within our care and the partnerships we have with families and the community. If you have ideas or feedback on areas for improvement please speak with the Centre Director.

The best parking options for our services are as follows;

Nursery – Wortley Street, Balmain
Preschool – Off street car park on Thames Street, Balmain
After Care – Jane Street, Balmain

Please consider the following;

1. Morning drop-offs are usually between 7:00 and 9:30am.
2. Afternoon pickups are usually between 2:30 and 5.00pm.
3. Thames Street (Preschool) is a really narrow street and really only allows for one way traffic so we need to be patient with cars needing to come in and out of the car park. We ask that parents turn right when departing from the centre during these busy times.
4. Wortley Street (Nursery) has 10 minute parking allocated on Dick Street and Wortley Street in front of the centre. This 10 minute parking allocation is from 7:00 – 9.30am and 4:00 – 6.00pm.

Please be aware of the safety of young children who may be around these parking spaces. Please ensure you hold your child’s hand when walking to the car.

Smiles and patience go a long way, we have little eyes and ears that hear and see everything.
