Our Short Day Preschool provides a high-quality, educational program for children 3 – 5 years of age, focusing on early learning and school readiness. Key Program Information

Operating Hours & Fees

Our Short Day Preschool operates from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday during School Terms for $89 per day, before funding is applied.

Term Options

We offer flexible term options to suit your family's needs, including full-year enrolment or specific terms.

Parental Responsibility

Please note that parents are required to provide their child with morning tea, lunch, and a packed afternoon snack each day. Balmain Care for Kids does not provide these meals for our Short Day Preschool program.

Enrolment & Funding Eligibility

Age Requirement

To be eligible for our government-funded program, your child must turn 3 years old by the 1st of July in their year of enrolment.

Toilet Training

All children enrolled in our Short Day Preschool program must be toilet trained.

Government Funding

Accessibility Information & Tours

Due to the layout of the building, our Short Day Preschool room does not have wheelchair access. To ensure we can accommodate your child’s needs and to discuss our facilities, a mandatory pre-enrolment tour will be required for all families prior to acceptance into the program. This allows us to meet you and your child, and for you to experience our centre first-hand.
